Day 14

Before and After

My time: 37:25

I can't believe I've already run over 45 miles this summer! I never thought I'd be able to run that much in so little time! Amazing what God has done already.

Today I wanted to talk about what is on my shirt. It's one of my favorite ones, not only because of the meaning, but also because it is so comfy :) I don't know if you can see it, but it is these symbols:
Many of you have probably heard of or seen this. It means "He came, he died, he arose, he ascended, he's coming back." I love seeing this as a daily reminder (I have it on my shirt, and a bracelet!), but it can also be a great tool for sharing the gospel. It's so abstract that if you don't know what it is, you want to find out. And so while some non-Christians are so closed off to anything God-related, this is something that doesn't look like that right away, and gives you an opportunity to share. I've noticed that when I'm sitting in class doodling this on the margin on my paper, sometimes someone will ask what it means, and that opens up an opportunity to explain it and share my faith. Sometimes they'll shrug it off like , "oh, okay cool," but every once in awhile you'll find someone who becomes curious and wants to know more. That's when you can share your personal story.

Something that I was reminded of several months back by my youth pastor who has since been called to another church is that evangelism is a process. Very few people are going to jump on board right away. in most cases, you have to plant the seeds, and then keep coming back to water them. Then you have to pray for God to let it grow into salvation.

I'd like to expand more on this and maybe share some other evangelistic tips I've picked up! Maybe do a mini series over it or something. Tell me in the comments if you would like me to :)

Sorry you guys are having to wait so long for a total, I'm contacting the organization tonight to get the donations through my project separated from the rest. It might not be until next week though that I can give a number. Sorry about this! In the meantime you can still give!
