About

About the project:
OneLife is a Christian organization through IMB with many different projects people can donate to. The one we are helping out-the one I felt called to-is the One Cup of Water project.

People in some countries have to go an average of 3.5 miles (source: CNN-Drinking Water) every day just to get water. So I am going to run 3.5 miles every single day from May 24, 2013 to August 6, 2013 (75 days) to raise money to build and repair wells through One Cup of Water.

I will post updates to the total as often as I can and together we can give clean water to these people.

How it came to be:
Back in 2012, after a church youth retreat, I was browsing the Internet when I stumbled upon misselainious.com. I read about her and her project and was feeling inspired to do something with my life. Fast forward a few months and I was brainstorming ideas on how I could do something big to help people in some way. I came up with the running idea and started praying and spending time in my bible trying to see if God really wanted me to do it, and what I should run for. I waited and waited  until finally in January of  2013, I knew it was time and by some miracle, my parents agreed to the project! And here I am today.

About Me:
My name is Haley and I am a high school student. I have the most wonderfully supportive family and I live with my parents and younger brother. I have 2 cats, Pepper and Snickers, and a Jack Russell terrier named Bella. I love exclamation points, Starbucks, reading, making bracelets, movies, and being organized (except it's hard when it comes to my room!). I wish I could play the piano and guitar. My youth group is the best ever! I am a setter on the school volleyball team, and I am a distance runner on the track team. I have been a dancer for 9 years now and it is one of my absolute favorite things! My favorite colors are pink and purple. I am currently trying to learn Spanish. I don't know what I want to be when I grow up yet, but I have felt a call to missions in some way so it has to work with that somehow! God is my #1 and I am eternally, infinitely thankful to Jesus for saving my life.

{I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, "move from here to there," and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.}
~Matthew 17:20
